This month we are pleased to launch our monthly B2B networking mornings.
Our first meeting will be held in the Pantry Cafe, Main Street, Portlaoise on
the 31st May from 7am to 8.30am. Both chamber members and visitors are welcome.
The benefits of attending are:
- The opportunity to network with like-minded businesses seeking introductions or referrals.
- The opportunity to introduce yourself and your business to the full group during every meeting.
- An update on business developments and opportunities happening that month.

format has proven popular in other Chambers and members of Newbridge

Laois Chamber Annual Golf Classic 2013 |
Laois Chamber Annual Golf Classic 2013 will take place in the Mountrath Golf Club on Friday 28th June 2013.
The event is a Shot Gun Start at 2.30pm sharp.
This is your opportunity to participate in a great day out and engage in quality networking which this event is synonymous with.
Teams of 4 are €160.00 inclusive of meal, and possible winner of one of the many excellent prizes.

Laois-Kilkenny Reinforcement Project Update |
An Bord Pleanála have requested Further Information in respect of the Laois-Kilkenny Reinforcement Project planning application – specifically that an Environmental Impact Statement is now submitted.
During the course of pre-application consultation meetings, held prior to the submission of the planning application, EirGrid had sought the preliminary view of An Bord Pleanála as to whether or not an Environmental Impact Statement was required.
The preliminary view was that an Environmental Impact Statement was not required for the proposed development application and consequently an Environmental Report was submitted, however An Bord Pleanála have the right to request further information which they have now done in this instance.
EirGrid are happy to comply with this request and will endeavour to provide this information as promptly as possible. An Bord Pleanála have requested that this information be provided within 12 weeks (by 22nd July 2013).
