MidlandsIreland.ie Launch had a great
sucess last week on  Thursday 26th January in the Portlaoise Heritage
Hotel.
Laois was presented by local food producers and craft makers,
agencies and businesses, who proved that Laois county is a perfect place
to live, to visit and to make business.
MidlandsIreland.ie is offering a FREE membership to businesses and strongly belive that the brand of MidlandsIrelan.ie will help to create more opportunities for businesses to network,wider awareness and will help attract new customer, tourist and families to the Midlands.

January Business Forum report |

Dates for forums for 2012. Thursday 2nd February. Thursday 1st March, Thursday 5th April, Thursday 3rd May.
Time 9am to 1.30pm.
We had 12 companies at today’s session. The main topics for this session were,  how to get my people to have the same drive for my business as me, how to handle personal negative equity and still focus on my business, improving customer service. maintain and grow margin to invest in the business.
Topic. How to get my people to have the same drive for results as myself
Rather than taking the usual approach of motivating staff, the topic developed into a discussion on how to better understand this subject.
The initial conversation came up with the idea of engaging with the staff and sharing information on how the business needed their input. However, what emerged was a view that if we share too much information on how the company is performing, then staff will start looking for wage increases when the company start showing a profit.

A big campaign to brand the Midlands as a destination for enterprise, tourism, learning and living will be launched by the Midlands Regional Authority, Laois County Council and Laois Chamber on Thursday 26th January, 2012.
MidlandsIreland.ie unites 4 counties together and creates great opportunities to network for all businesses, the way to market yourself and to wider awareness about your product or service in the area for the customers.
MidlandsIreland offer all businesses free membership, which include registration and offer a profile page on the MidlandsIreland.ie website.
Thursday week MidlandsIrelands.ie will launch the Brand in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel at 7.00pm.
